Jail & Jesus

Being a homeless person is lonely, isolated life–being a homeless person in jail is even more lonely and isolated. No family, no friends, often no pastor and seldom anyone to visit or support the inmate.

In cooperation with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Can We Help President, Bob Durst, has been granted Chaplain status at the Martin County Jail. This will allow Bob to visit with homeless inmates 7 days per week and to meet with them face to face with prayer and support or to simply let them know that there are those out here who care about them. We are grateful for and give thanks for the confidence which the Sheriff and his staff have extended to us and pledge to use these privileges as tools to make a difference in the lives of the incarcerated homeless.
